Grammy Glam!!!!

So what kind of beauty blogger would I be if I didn't give my thoughts on the looks that hit this year's Grammy's. All the biggest and brightest stars in music were there and although I would love to give my thoughts on everyone's fashion hits and misses I'm going to have to keep it to my standouts............

Oh Mrs. Carter(wearing Stephane Rolland)...I've seen Bey in much better looks than this one. To me it was a bit boring like we had seen her in this, and the two tone hair....I'll pass. But as usual the makeup is FLAWLESS and it is Beyonce so she gets a pass this time...... and only this time!!!

For me Pink was the standout of the night, I'm not sure who her dress was by the it looked absolutely FABULOUS on the red carpet! Loved the color and the structure of the dress, simple elegant makeup and her fab cut to top it off. Also her performance in my opinion was the standout of the night...let's be ready for others to fall in line and copy this high flying number. Hey she gets an A+ from me because she was able to do it in those stunning shoes......by the way if anyone knows the designer please let me know!!!!

Ms. Keri Baby!!! Lovely.....beautiful color and makeup of course is always on point
Katy Perry in Zac Posen No comment......

Fergie in a cobalt blue Pucci mini dress, fab look fun flirty perfect for the occasion

Taylor Swift in Kaufman Franco...congrats to Taylor who won Album of the year among other awards. Loving the look but I do wish that she had a little bit more fun with it, why is everyone in such a rush to look so grown?

Rihanna in Eli Saab...hands down she KILLED it from the makeup to the hair and dress. She is really on the couture scene hard and I loves it. I think her makeup look may just have to be my 1st video of the new year. Although I do wish she had performed....I can just imagine that outfit

Lady Gaga in Armani Prive'.......Oh what the hell did you expect! I am such a Gaga fan she can do no wrong in my eyes. This was who I waited for all night and she did NOT disappoint!!
So there you have my top picks for the night and of course there were other stunners but I must mention that I did miss Whitney & Mimi on the red carpet last night. Even though they were not nominated they are legends and an appearance would have been fab. But as usual until next time Be Beautiful!

Teyana Taylor "Dope Lips"

Looks like Singer/Rapper/Model Teyana Taylor is the latest in celebs to get into the product game. These are the latest in promo pics for her upcoming line of lip products entitled "Dope Lips". No word on if this line will be glosses, lipsticks, or a mix of both, all I know is the promo pics are FIRE! and I cannot wait to get my hands on that popping pink that she is rockin.
There is no official launch date for the line but I guess sometime in 2010 either way I will be sure to keep you posted.......
Until next time B Beautiful....

Concealer NO NO!!!

So by now I'm quite sure that you have all seen the pics of Taraji Henson's makeup disaster!! Well I'm going to tell you how to aviod this very common mistake, of the extra light raccoon eye, because honestly this could happen to anyone unfortunatly it happened to Taraji....

As you can see from the photos below that Taraji's makeup is a classic smokey look perfect for the red carpet if it wasn't for the extra light circles under her eyes..... Many times an MUA will add an extra layer of translucent powder under the eye to 'catch' any falling eyeshadow so not to stain the skin then you will have a whole other set of problems. There are 2 ways to fix this problem, first continue with your usual foundation first and powder to 'catch' falling shadow but make sure you brush away all powder and even follow up with a small bit of bronzer under the eye so it looks more even like the rest of the skintone. Or you can apply a light layer of concealer, do the eye makeup wipe away any excess shadow that may have fallen during application and THEN apply your foundation and blend. This is a surefire way to make sure that your application is flawless. And remember when all else fails pull out YOUR camera and take a pic with the flash on to check for mishaps just like this one, those flashing lights will get you every time......

Until next time B Beautiful everyone!!

Pop Fiction

In a world where celebs can't even go to the bathroom in piece you know it would take the mind of Ashton Kutcher to come up with a show like this. I always knew he would bring back 'Punked'! I can't front though even I was reading this story on some of my favorite blogs and saying what the hell is up with Paris but now it all comes out.

So now here's the million dollar question: since the world has seen that not everything they print in the mags or online is true will the media take more responsibility for what they print. MMMMmmmmmm I think not and I see several more seasons of punking the media!!!!

Way to go Ashton!!
