Breaking News!! Designer Alexander McQueen Commits Suicide

The Associated Press is now reporting that 40 year old designer Alexander McQueen has commited suicide in his London home.  Famously know for his over the top fashions and creating one of kind garments for Lady Gaga and Rihanna the fashion world mourns this loss.

Our hearts go out to his family and they will be in our prayers.

Word of the day: Perseverance

Hey guys I know that this post is going tobe a bit diffrent from the rest as this is all about one word......Perseverance. In this business you have to have it, I started out 7 years ago as a part time makeup artist doing mainly bridal and special events. It wasn't until 2 years ago that I have decided to take my business to a whole other level and go full time. I say this to say that it too me 7 years to get where I wanted to be in the beauty industry and finally say that everyday when I wake up I do EXACTLY what I want to do.
If it wasn't for passion and perseverance I have no clue how I would have made it through. You have to have it, especially in this business because there are so many roadblocks that you can come in contact with that will test you and honestly make you want to quit. Believe me there were plenty of times when I heard the word NO I just wanted to give up and throw in the towel but it was my passion and Perseverance that kept me going. So when ever you feel like quitting just remember this and keep going!!!! Until next time B Beautiful!!!

R.I.P Studio Mist Foundation

As most of you may or may not know I have been trying to put off the inevitable.....having to replace my MAC Studio Mist foundation. Believe me beauties I have written MAC several times with my own little campaign to bring back this amazing foundation. Believe me this foundation will be missed but as my can goes dry I have no other choice but to replace it. So now begins my journey to replace THE BEST foundation in MAC history......DAMN YOU MAC!!!! I will most likely have to replace this one go to foundation with 2 different brands simply to fit the needs of my very different customers. So let the search begin.........

Makeup Fab!!! Ciara

For the second time Ciara has made my Makeup Fab!!! This time Ms Cici is rocking fab smokey eye makeup and a stunning short cut. It looks like cutting and shaving your hair is all the rage and after viewing this pic I am very happy that she did not go with the shaving portion. Kudos Cici for updating your look and keeping it fab and fresh, this even reminds me that I have yet to do a smokey eye tutorial so I just may have to show you guys how I do my smokey eye.

**This look includes of course black eyeshadow with what looks like a brown in the crease so it doesn't come off too harse, sheer highlight, pinky blush and a sparkling pink lipstick.

I just love this look, like this is something that I would wear for day or night.......until next time beauties B Beautiful

#1 skincare Rule

So this may not come as a surprise to many of you but believe it or not washing your face twice a day with the proper face cleanser can clear up 80% of skin problems. Just remember that not all products are made equal it make take you a few tries to find the right face wash for your skin but don't give up hoep it's out there. Also when washing your face be sure to throughly rinse off any cleanser with luke warm water to ensure then is no residue left that may clog your pores. Until next time B Beautiful

The Look & A few updates!!

In this post I just want to let everyone know how things are going with my personal challenge of 365 days of blogging. I have been diligent in having posts to put up everyday that are beauty and skincare related. As I stated in my first Tidbits video this is going to show you everything in my journey in building my business. All my hardships, setbacks and lessons learned in being not only a Makeup Artist but also a skincare specialist, in any given day I am learning so much about this business and also about myself so I am hoping that at least one person can read what I am writing and say ok I have learned something and now I am a better business person because of it. You know besides the rush and excitement of all the photo shoots and fashion shows there is a whole lot more that you need to know besides just how to do makeup, you have to protect yourself and your business. LipStick Organization!!!

Yeah!!!!! My first step to organization begins with my lipsticks, so I was at Walmart a few days ago and I decided to take a look at there craft section. What do I find the 24 bin case that is really for beads but I saw it as a chance to stop carring around this load of lipsticks that I have in my kit. The case was $6.79 and well worth every penny so much so that I am going to purchase about 3 more so I can do the rest of my lipsticks and hvae empites for all the lip glaze that I am makeing at home.
I decided to crush my lipsticks into each bin and just noted the name on top (didn't have any stickers) it's very lightweight and easy to carry. If you only need 1 or 2 lipsticks then just take the little pot out and put it in your case. I am actually going to see how they stand up with a liquid in the pot and you never know my dream of having all palettes in my kit just might come true sooner than I thought!!!!

Makeup Kit/Collection July 15, 2009

Ok so here is my very first collection/kit video I have seen them all over YouTube but I never actually did one of my own. So here it is, I moved a few months ago and decided to turn the back room into an office space/guest room but there is makeup and boxes everywhere so I need to change all that.
I will be doing an update video in the next upcoming months to show the transformation and more organization. Take note organize everything it makes things sooooo much easier!!!

Brown & Pink Tutorial

So for this 4th of July I decided to go against the red, white and blue and do something totally different. So I did this super cure pink and brown look, it's super fun and flirty and just something different. I even decided to play up my full lips by using a hot pink lip polish. Loreal HIP Tutorial

I have just been dying to do this look but never got around to it. I brought this beautiful orange duo from CVS so very long ago and never used it, but now I have come up with a beautiful neutral look that is sure to turn heads.

Chapstick Fab!!!

There is OFFICIALY no excuses for anyone out there to go out without just a hint of shimmer on there lips. I am an avid promoter of lipgloss and mascara before you walk out the door, and now Chapstick has made it even easier.

True Shimmer gives you healthy lips with a hint of shimmer, in the photo I kicked it up a notch by filling in my lips with Make Up Forever lip liner No. 24 first before adding the chapstick. This is defintly in my bag for everday, use alone or over lipstick to give it an additional shimmer. Fab product and a must have to everyones beauty bag!! New First Lady & New Fashion Icon!!!

Ok so it's no surprise that once you are elected President your entire family will also be in the spotlight, but in all my years (which is not that many) I have not seen this much hype over a first family since.........well I wasn't even born then but from what I heard since the Kennedy's. Many bloggers, television shows, and newspapers are reporting that Michelle Obama is the most fashionable first lady since Jackie O. Michelle has a fresh clean look that women everywhere are now trying to achieve. I just can't wait to see what the next four years will bring, whatever it I know it will be fabulous!!!
