So low and behold when I open my kit today what do I find.....one of my favorite mineral shadows has spilled in my kit. So after much cursing and scraping (yes I salvaged what I could) I found that the cap most likely wasn't screwed on tight enough causing it to open from all the hustle and bustle of me carring it around.
Needless to say it was a large mess to clean up being as though I had use my trusty Parian Spirit to clean up the mess and make everyhting all nice and sanitary. So let this be a lesson to us all make sure all containers are closed tightly and perhaps for mineral eyeshadows and products carrying them in there own zip lock bag may prevent a larger mess and also pressing them into palette form. I have not yet pressed any of my pigments but this is definitly an option that I am going to look into.
So what have we learned............
- Make sure containers are close tightly
- Look into pressing all loose pigments
- KEEP EVERYTHING CLEAN!!!
